I started getting my hair done by Michelle when she was in Monroe nearly 8 years ago. When she told me of an opportunity for her to move her salon to Springboro I was thrilled, its such a nice community. I had searched high and low for a stylist, but it seemed no matter what I always had difficulty styling my hair. Then I found Michelle. I have been pleased ever since, I do have one story to tell about a time when I had to have it redone. I have medium brown hair naturally and I like to be pretty heavily highlighted. I got in my head I would like to go back to my natural color so I went in and she recommended I leave some highlights but I thought if I'm going to make a change, lets make it a big one. I got home and waited a couple days, it was not me. I called and told Michelle I was struggling with the change and she just laughed it off and told me to come back in. She put some highlights in it, gave me a conditioning treatment and it looked fabulous. She did what I told her to do in the first place so I figured it only to be right that I paid for the redo. She would not hear of it. Recently there have been 5 ladies come from Dillards Salon in Middletown, I could not be more thrilled for the girls and for Michelle, what a wonderful opportunity. They are always friendly and warm, but professional. The atmosphere is very cozy but upbeat. The shop is trendy and fun. When I am there she treats me like a guest in her home. I always get friendly service when I call to schedule appts and am always greeted with a smile. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Ambience, Friendly Service, Satisfying Results, Easy to locate
Cons: rush hour traffic can be a bit heavy at times

I went to Serenditys to have my eyebrows waxed and came out with burned, swollen skin. It was 1.5 months ago that I had this done and my eye is still swollen. It looked like someone punched in the eye. The wax was so hot it just burned my skin, after she did one eye, I noticed she blew on the wax to cool it off (which is gross that she was blowing on it then putting it on me). I did call them twice to tell them about the incident, but did not sound like they cared or wanted to do anything. Ridiculous. I am still embarrassed by their actions and will never get my eyebrows wax because of them. I even went to the doctor to get medication to calm the swelling. I just think... if they did this to my eyebrow, what mess would they do to my hair??? I would not recommend this place, I strongly advise going somewhere else. Just my word of warning because you do NOT want happening to you what has happened to me - and I am still suffering with it - a nice, red, swollen eyebrow that is very noticeable.
Pros: none.
Cons: you will look worse walking out than when you walked in.
