I have been a frequent client of Karma Salon and Spa for a year or more and they have always made me very happy. I go there to receive biweekly brow waxes, I have gotten my hair cut and styled, I have received their basic 30 minute massage, and everything has been great. The only complaint I have is that the nail technician that I had for a manicure hurt me and treated me rudely then rushed me out of there, ruining my nails in the process. Needless to say, I haven't gotten nail services since then from Karma. But seriously, everything else and everyone else is top notch. The prices are reasonable, they understand that they are located in a middle class neighborhood, not NYC. The owner is very nice and unpretentious and makes everyone feel at home. Sometimes if I'm not offered coffee or tea or water soon enough, I have to ask for it, but I don't mind. All in all, this is my go-to place for every spa and salon service and I highly recommend Karma to my family and friends. Also, it is male friendly with masculine and feminine decor. I bring my husband all the time and he feels comfortable.
Pros: Masculine and feminine decor, relaxing, talented staff, ample parking, variety of services
Cons: Nail services unpleasant (at least for me)

Talk about a total disappointment. I was looking forward to visiting my stylist's new location which was unfortunately at Karma's. I found the salon to have extremely poor lighting and was somewhat unkeep. My stylist wreaked my hair. The color turned out too red. So, she decided to put a toner on it. Well, she keep me sitting in the chair with this toner on my head for over twenty five minutes while she proceeded to cut someone else's hair. She visited me 10 minutes into the toner application and told me that someone would come wash it out. Well, 15 minutes later here he comes to wash it out. My hair was JET BLACK! I honestly don't know what happened to my stylist, she used to be very good and I had recommended her, but no longer. She spend all of three minutes cutting my hair and neither, she nor this guy offered to fix this awful JET BLACK color. So after a few days my hair took on this purple tint...well my hair was deep purple after about two days. And, when I called to talk with my stylist, the receptionist was extremely RUDE! When I hear people talking about salons, I am sure to mention how terrible Karma is every chance I get, and I discourage my family, friends and coworkers from going there. Waste of money, horrible talent, bad service, terrible conditions. Never again!
